Just curious if Delta has gotten their long haul 777s outfitted with inflight wifi yet? Getting ready to head back to Africa on flight 200 on Wednesday this week.

Nope....

Didn't see anyone using it if it was hooked up!

If I remember correctly, they did not... however, I did enjoy most of the flight in a gin-enduced slumber, so my memory of the flight is less than reliable!

If I recall correctly it reads "wifi available over the continental US"

Thanks. That's what I figured but I was just hoping that they may have updated those 777s by now. Don't really need the Internet for that time anyway.

I guess I will stick with my normal plan of a drink, movie, dinner, movie, sleeping pill, sleep. Breakfast, movie, lunch, movie, land.... Woo, that's a long flight.

Have a great trip D Safe travels !

Yea and they encourage you to buy it ahead of time when you buy your tickets. Luckily I didn't. I think it is just a matter of time until they actually have it working over seas. In the mean time try the gin!

So, at least some of the planes have it now. I am in flight now just now getting out over the Atlantic and have wifi access. Pretty cool

I'm looking forward to the new movies and reading a book:whistle:

Any updates on Delta WiFi?

I have flown a fair amount for work lately. What I have found is the airlines want to now charge and heavily for it. One of the gents I was traveling with on one trip decided to buy it to get some work done on his laptop. It was so slow that it made getting anything done in a reasonable amount of time not possible.

So even if available on the plane it may not actually be available at the time, if it is it's expensive and slow.

My planes had Wi-Fi (going and coming home) two years ago. It was pretty decent coverage of I remember. It costs money of course ($20 or so I think). May be better coverage/speed now

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
