Did the Heym 88B rifles ever have issues with the wood cracking back behind the action?

In looking at these rifles, it "seems" to me like the 89B structure allows more wood to be behind the action and therefor would be stronger? I have a drilling with the same "profile" as the 88b and had the wood crack behind the action. Just curious if anyone knows if they experienced any of that.

Bought my first one new in 2006 or 07. No issues. Currently have two 88b, and have had one other. All have been fine. Have seen a few heavily used 88b's in African owned by PH's and have not heard of any stock issues.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
