I first got exposed to cricket a few years back, when the NHL went on strike. I was wondering how many cricket fans/players are on this international forum, and in what region you live.
Cricket pitches in Canada are primarily only in the greater Toronto region and Vancouver region.

I grew up in a neighbourhood with a lot of people from SA and Rhod/Zim and in high school I worked for a guy from the West Indies, so I learned to appreciate cricket early.

For a time my office was a ten minute drive from the Canadian national cricket field in King City and got to see Brian Lara there one time.

Still quite enjoy watching the game.

I’m English and obsessed with cricket!
I’m very lucky to be a member at Lords cricket ground in London too

Really enjoyed talking cricket with my PH in South Africa last month.

Lots of South African cricketers love their hunting too! Quinton de Kock and Chris Morris to name a couple!

You may not get a great representation here seeing as this is mostly an American forum but I wager there’d be more than a billion more cricket fans in the world than any of the major American sports.

Cricket is big throughout Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia & NZ, Britain and even some of the Middle East countries have cricket as their national sport.

You can’t really be an Aussie and not watch a bit of cricket, although my playing days are over.

I lived in Port of Spain, Trinidad in the mid 1990s. The West Indies team was at the end of a very dominant 10-15 year period. My first cricket match was the West Indies vs England. I didn’t understand the game too much but when it started to rain and the ground crew rolled out the tarp, I said, “This part is just like baseball!”

One time I was going to play golf and I was getting the clubs out of the trunk and a guy parked next to me is doing the same. I recognized him instantly as it was Brian Lara. I told him, as an American I didn’t know much about cricket but I knew that he was the Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods of the cricket world.

One other guy on the West Indies team was Curtly Ambrose. He was a bowler (sort of like a pitcher with a running start) and his nickname was “The Destroyer of England.”

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
