Here is a common rifle but uncommon in this condition. I never had the heart to put a scope on it. I believe it is a 1977 Remington 700 BDL chambered in .243. It appears unfired as I can see any evidence. It has stunning wood grain, still has the filler screws in receiver. There a couple small safe marks on the toe, barely noticeable. I doubt anyone would find a nicer one.

Asking $1350.00 shipped and Insured!

You are correct, gorgeous!

Immaculate. And those years of 700 are usually very accurate
I never had a 700 not shoot under a half inch, for me. There is definitely a reason, all the aftermarket custom actions were designed off the 700 action! This is the nicest standard 700 you will find!

OMG! That is beautiful. I love that caliber also, if I was eyeballs deep in rifle and shotgun builds that would come live with me!

Beautiful rifle !! I am a big fan of the older 700s. What is the date code on the barrel ? I was checking all your pics but that wasn't included. I believe the skip-line checkering started in 1978, but it is possible some 77s had skip-line checkering as well.

Am not home, but I looked it up awhile back and I believe it was late 1977 so I assume it was the first run of skipline checkering. I think it was Dec. of 1977

I have a older BDL Varmint .223rem with a cheap tasco scope-

that is amazing accurate at 200yds

Can we start a Gofundme and ship this rifle to Bob?
@Bob Nelson 35Whelen is in the states atm. Maybe he has a lead on this .243

Hopefully he might come back a bit better smarter and educated on the .243 when he gets home.

Any takers!!! I will let it go for $1300.00 shipped!! I can do zelle, venmo, or postal money order for payment.

Perfect rifle for those 500+ yard elk shots! :ROFLMAO:

I assure you, a 95gr TSX pill through the lungs of anything will kill it! Especially on a whimpy elk.. lol. ;)

Elk are pussies.. out of the 20 or so elk I have killed all but 3, dropped within a 10yrd circle of where they were shot.. even the bow kills. Shot placement!!

I love the .243 my children have take many deer with one and none left our site. I was just poking at some on here who dislike the caliber! I also agree with shot placement I've taken all my plains game with a 7mm-08 or a .308, only had one go any distance.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
