does anybody have a connection for RMR plates for a Chapuis? looking for one that can go direct to the rifle. I saw Skinner Sights had some on their Instagram but I reached out to them and it sounds like that’s a bit of a dead end. Anyone sell them, or anybody that can custom make one for a guy?

I have one from Skinner that I purchased through Berretta Gallery in Dallas.

Greatly appreciate it man. That is the first lead I’ve gotten that has got this going. They told me they can get me one.

I love these doubles but holy smokes is it a different world in terms of getting parts, service, etc…

The beretta gallery in Dallas went silent when I was asking about them.

Beretta Galley should be able to get you the skinner.

Another option is to have JJ mill you one. JJ made the RMR plate on my wifes Chapuis Iphisi. Its a bit more expensive than the skinner option.. but.. like everything JJ does, its perfection in execution..

Cliff -- I found a standard Weaver/Leupold dovetail base which fits in the rear scope mount cutout on a Chapuis Elan 470 at William Larkin Moore and Sons LLC in Scottsdale, AZ. It was made by Talley some years ago when WLM was importing Chapuis rifles apparently. You can put an RMR mount like the Trijicon Low Weaver Rail mount on it. Don't know if that would help.

IF you come up short in your searching I had a local machinist make one for a friend of mine utilizing a Trijicon base as a starting point. If it is for an Iphisi I have one here we can take measurements from, if its an Elan I would have to track my friend down to borrow his for measurements. Let me know and I'll talk to my machinist and I can get an estimate of what it would cost.

JJ Perodeau can provide you with one as can George Caswell

JJ put a red dot on my Chapuis but he did it by milling the rib not using the replaceable blocks.

JJ installed my RMR using his mount and machined the rib for installation!

I have been struggling to get a skinner plate as well. Let me know if you get one please!

Thank you.

Hey guys, to follow up on this. The berreta gallery deal didn’t come through… BUT Andy and Ron at Skinner were very helpful and set me up. Great guys.

Did they have to fit that to the rifle of could they just send you the mount?

did that mount fit directly to the rib without any modifications?

And send pics of how it shoots

inquiring minds........

They just sent me the mount

You will need a good set of gun smith screw drivers. A little rag and a soft hammer to bump out the block. Otherwise a guy is inevitably going to scratch the engraving on the block/screw heads. Other than that, very straightforward
