Saw this blip on a blog from Rick Berman.... Thought I would pass it on FWIW.

The Izaak Walton League of America, meanwhile, has also many local chapters that, by all means, are great advocates for hunters, anglers, and sport shooters. But the national office appears to have a lot going on behind closed doors.
Local Izaak Walton chapters operate shooting ranges where members can plink away with AR-15s. But the national IWLA has taken millions of dollars from the Joyce Foundation, a Chicago-based group that wants strict gun control and firearms bans. Barack Obama sat on the board for 8 years and considered becoming the group’s president. The organization also funds Michael Bloomberg’s gun-control efforts. I use this example not to advocate for a view on gun policy, but merely to illustrate that the apple has fallen far from the tree with these groups. The bigger, more established ones may have drifted away from their members while quietly accepting millions from radical environmentalists; the newer “sportsmen” groups are simply set up as front groups for their radical agendas.

ActionBob,

Excellent post, thank you for it.

It is good to know who people really are, not just who they say they are.

On this same note, for those who buy 501 jeans and other products of theirs, be advised that Levi-Strause has donated money to various Anti-2nd Amendment organizations / Anti-Hunting organizations.

Stay on that front sight,
Velo Dog.

Back to wranglers it is.
