11-33x50 vortex razor compact spotter. It has literally never been out of my house, I just use my other one when I need a spotter. 550 shipped in the lower 48 states. These sell for 699 pretty much everywhere.

These are excellent especially when you need to carry one in your pack. At the range even my 70+ year old eyes can just make out a .30 caliber hole in the 400 yards if the sun is on the target.

For what it's worth, I use this model spotting scope for Precision (formally "Bullseye) Pistol practice and matches. It was the only scope I found that I, with my eyesight no longer better than perfect, could see the .22 bullet holes in the scoring black of the target at 50 yards. The .22 standard velocity LR makes holes that close up after the bullet passes through. Sometimes the actual hole is only .10" in diameter. Those are darn hard to see on a dark, cloudy day on the firing line at Camp Perry. No problem with this scope.

Appreciate the replies guys. It is a great scope, I just found a deal on a clean 300H&H that us calling my name and I have several other spotters. Someone will get a good deal on this one

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
