Anyone fly out of Nashville on Delta with their rifles to ATL-Joburg in the last year or so? Just curious if the personnel knew what they were doing with the firearms or if I can expect an all out nut roll.

I have flown both Delta and American. Both did the cursory check to make sure both rifles in the case were unloaded, signed the little form they give you, put in case and locked up(one lock for each hole on my Pelican case - 4 total). Checked ammo weight, I had ammo in separate cheapo survival box also with lock and put that back in luggage. Bought 6 keyed locks all the same key on Amazon for about $20. Kept two keys with me, gave one to my son, and left rest at home. Never had any problems out of Nashville. Not saying you wouldn’t be the first, but always have laminated copies of all documents, Form 4457, etc with me just in case. Also take pictures on phone of bags and gun cases in case I have to file lost bag claim. No issues with size of gun case or weight. Make they check your bags all the way through to Jberg. Used Rifle Permits to clear SA upon arrival. Did not get stuff to them early enough for pre-approval, so they met me there and was about a 20 min deal to clear. They seem to know everyone at airport. Any other questions let me know as I live in Brentwood and travel with guns quite frequently.

Prepare for the worst and then be pleasantly surprised if it does not turn out that way.
Good luck.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
