Best month for Save Valley leopard and Elephant hunt?

I'm hoping to get some 1st hand advice on the best month to hunt Leopard and Elephant in the Save Valley. May? June? July? And ETC

Should I try to hunt the New Moon as well?

Do the maze fields play a roll for the elephant?
