Arnhem Land Australia - 3 Bull Buffalo Cull Hunt US$10,500

Tagging this for future plans.
What’s the best route and airline from USA traveling with guns?
We flew Qantas out of DFW into Sidney, then on to Darwin. Make sure to get all rifle permits for both import into Australia and export. Alex can coordinate that. A couple of our guys brought ammo back home, so there was additional export paperwork for that.

Evening Mark

Apologies for the late reply we have just been preparing and have now battled last night with the biggest tropical cyclone to hit Darwin since 1974. It has passed with minimal damage!

Now back to your question. It easy to travel to Australia with guns on Delta or Qantas out of Dallas, Los Angeles or San Fransisco. Anymore questions please feel free to reach out. Have a great week!

Regards Alex

Definitely interested in 2027, and am also curious about best route and airline.

What flight number do you show? When I checked the AA site, the DFW - SYD non-stop said "Operated by Qantas". It appeared to be a code share. An AA non-stop would be great, I am retired from AA.

Honestly I only know that I’ve heard a bunch of ads on the Dallas sports radios station saying now offering a nonstop to Sydney. I don’t check it by trying to book. Maybe they are just codeshare now and claiming that.

When they launched it Sydney was also the password on the admirals lounges for a month. I just believed them I guess.

Quantas does a direct Sydney to Dallas flight.
It's a 15 hour direct flight.

Yes - that's the one we took, both directions. I retired from American, flew mostly international. I was, and still am, a firm believer in 1 up and 1 down. I tried to fly the longest flights we had, less days per month.

I hope it is true, I plan on going back to Australia. Being retired from American I still have travel benefits which can apply to codeshare, but not with firearms.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
