Arby’s bringing beloved venison sandwich to Nebraska

Arby’s new venison sandwich is coming to Nebraska (Photo: Arby’s)

Arby’s announced this week that it will be bringing its popular venison sandwich to two locations in Nebraska, putting a smile on hunters’ faces all across the state.

The chain said in a news release that it would be selling the venison sandwich at the following locations:

Wednesday, Jan. 18
5540 O ST
Lincoln, NE 68510

Thursday, Jan. 19
13610 W MAPLE RD
Omaha, NE 68164

Arby’s first served the sandwich for a limited time at 17 locations last year. Much to the dismay of Nebraskan hunters, the sandwich was not served in their state, and they let the company know about it.

After hearing their cry, Arby’s decided to bring the sandwich back as a show of appreciation to all Nebraskan hunters and meat lovers.

Those seeking out the sandwich at one of the locations are advised to arrive early, as lines are expected to be long.

Of course, if I want a venison sandwich I can go to my freezer and save myself a trip!

I like Arby's and they are very pro hunting and second amendment from my understanding

The Two Arbys that offered them in Minnesota sold out in a Day

So how do they comply with the various laws and regulations regarding wild game meat?

Because it's venison doesn't mean it's wild game....

In my post I almost asked if it was farmed deer as is done in New Zealand. I've seen some of those operations, it'd almost be worth the drive to Nebraska to get one of those sandwiches.

Arby's has been advertising on the Outdoor channel with ads that geared towards hunters. Like someone needs any more reason to patronize Arby's (great roast beef sandwiches!) but we should definitely support businesses that support us.

If they want to risk the backlash by serving venison they are ok by me! Thanks for stopping by see you in Vegas!

I believe it was similar here also. Since both of the locations are 100+ miles away I guess I'll just have to make my own. Thanks for commenting, hope to see you in Vegas!

I'd like to try one myself, I've never eaten a tame deer!;)

Being an unrepentant carnivore, I have been a longtime fan of Arby's myself. It also makes sense, since hunters tend to like meat.(go figure!) Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you in Vegas!

Hi PaulB. Would you be interested in another WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3". It's an extractor model and in superb condition, cased as well. Made in 1908. The rifle is here in Texas.
