Have just come home from our small town Anzac Day service and wreath laying at the war memorial and t'was a moving experience of rememberance

It saddens me the number of people my age that really don't have the respect for what these people did for us. Peace and time seems to breed apathy. My young fella will certainly be brought up to respect their sacrifice. Always is a moving day.

My wife and I were at a service on Omaha Beach in May the year of the 50th anniversary of D-Day. It brought tears to my eyes. Then we visited the American Cemetery in Normandy...again it brought tears. Extremely humbling experience.

Those now defending our freedoms, thank you for your sacrifices and services! You too are a great generation in my eyes!
