Anybody own a 350 Remington Magnum?

Some years ago i sold my Ruger 77mk1 35 Whelen i was really stupid , & regretted the loss .
Ruger made a limited number of 77 mk2 rifles in 350 Rem magnum, i purchased one when they were available
in Australia. It knocks down wild pigs like they have been hit by lightning, using 225 grain Woodleighs.
does any body have any experience with the 350 REM MAG ?
I have the same Rifle and I'm making the New cases out of both 7mm mag and 300 Win mag cases . It take a little time but for something that you cant find Id thought Id make my own it they work awesome . Right now I cant keep up with orders for people wanting the 350 remington mag brass Im making ! I'm selling them for $3 ea. new primed brass

This kinda sounds like a sales ad...

Not much difference in field performance of 350 mag, 35 whelen and 9.3x62 when all are loaded to the gills with 250 grain bullets.

I took my 375 Weatherby (weighs 7 1/2 lbs with scope) last time. Next time if go on Kodiak for a huge bear I'll bring the 500 Jeffery lol

I have just received some 158 grain speer 357 mag pistol bullets to try in my 350 rem mag i hope to load them to about 2000 fps this should be a lot nicer to shoot than full power ammo, will let you know how they go.

Had one in a 600 Remington years ago and hunted deer with it in up of Michigan, it was a
Hammer with factory Remington ammo but it kicked like a mule and didn't function that well.
Traded it for a custom 35 Whelen with 225gr handholds, rifle was made by a local gunsmith in
the UP who did spectacular work just part time in his basement, was on a G33/40 with a very nice piece of California walnut, wish I had never sold it!

Is that a Mark II? The finish looks like Hawkeye Matte...

Yes it is mate. It's been bead blasted, and actually wears a Hawkeye stock. Good eye.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
