this is an African forum but thought folks might appreciate this pair. My gunsmith made these for himself and being a nice guy, sold them to me. They both have his integral barrels (which I am a fanatic on) and pre-64 actions. Top is 375H&H and the bottom is 7mm RemMag. As a pair, I normally would have the same bottom metal (375HH is in the trigger guard but he kept the 7mm factory). Oh well, what can you do...

I would use a 9.3x74R and 7x65R on a Blaser O/U double

A very nice combination. And perhaps not coincidentally, that pair of rifles will not only conquer the Great North of Alaska, but would be a difficult pair to beat to go hunt anything, anywhere in the world (feathered friends excluded).

Beautiful rifles, but I would never ever take them to Alaska / Yukon

A full week of non-stop rain in a fly camp will turn those splendid stocks into two twisted gray planks, and rust blue will turn to ... well, rust. Trust me, I know, it happened to me (albeit in Newfoundland, but same difference)

Conversely, this would be a great pair for Africa, and the calibers are right, as well as the optics from the look of it, so you are on the right forum Jefferry404 :E Rofl:

PS: did you notice that there is one too many R in your screen name? Jeffery only takes one. If this was intended, it is perfectly OK. If not, Jerome can probably fix this for you.

those work, particularly in the warmer climates. Do not have any doubles, just bolts...

good point. Sad to say, most of my rifles are in the collection but I do have a few to bang around with.
Regarding my spelling, i think Jeffery404 was taken and I accidently kept typing:)
I wanted 505Gibbs but alas.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
