To cut a long story short about 20 years ago a bought a Ruger 77 mk2 Target in 22 PPC wanted a 6PPC but they were all sold as i have a 222 & 223 the 22 PPC did not get a lot off use , i decided to re barrel to 6 PPC & ord a barrel from Allan Swan, a stainless 1-10 twist profiled as per the Ruger whilst waiting looked at some new 6mm PPC brass & dies all very expensive .Then i discoverd the 6 mm ARC hornady ammo & brass at realistic prices & Swan had just got a reamer in 6 ARC problem the 6 ARC factory ammo is all 100 grain + 1-10 twist would not stabalize those bullets as at this stage the Barrel was made so i was stuck with 1-10 twist , having no intentions of shooting bullets of 100 grain + i decided to go ahead & use 70 g to 90 g bullets as i would if it was in 6 PPC . i bought 40 Hornady 108 grain factory ammo & tried 2 at 100 meters they went through the target sideways, pulled the bullets & used the brass & as brass is in very short supply made 100 out of Starline 6.5 Grendel a very easy process . the rifle shoots like a dream all bullets tried 70 to 88 grain shot sub moa . attached is a target 100 metres with 88 grain Berger fbv with 27 grains of AR 2206H reformed Starline case & Rem primer.

@rdog
Another underpowered baby 243 mate. Accurate yes but still a 6mm
Neck it up to 25 and make it almost a 250 Savage.
Just use it for paper punching and bunnies.
Ha ha ha ha ha

I'm only buying 7.5 twist blanks in 6mm now. The 110 and 109 it just requires them.

Looks like you have your load working well.

Congratulations.

I really like the 6mm ARC, it's probably one of my favorite cartridges of all time. I've taken many deer with it and have stretched it out to 800 yds without any issue. I just got my tow oldest girls a 6mm ARC in the Howa Mini 1500. They'll be cutting their teeth on it this year.

Enjoy it, I'm impressed with it's versatility so far.

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
