Does anybody here have or have ever even shot a 500 Bushwacker? It may be a tad overkill (if you believe in that sort of thing) but 400 grains at 2400 fps, that 416 Rigby power! from a 10" revolver is something I need in my life lol

It’s actually useful for exactly one thing: wilderness bear defense in grizzly country where you can’t carry a rifle. And even then, you’d better be a world-class shot under adrenaline. Because the trigger on the BFR is heavy, the sights are basic, and the muzzle flip means your second shot is going somewhere in the next zip code

Yeah, I've shot the .500 Bushwhacker out of a converted 10" BFR. It's exactly the kind of ridiculous, grin-inducing cannon you're picturing.

No, only a 10in 45/70 TC with Ruger level 500gr loads & no break, felt like a Grenade went off in your hand with each shot from the recoil.

These sure are way way next level.

Relaying on Bertram brass is a bit of a deal breaker if that becomes the norm ?

Unless you go the Magnum ?

I was in line for them at one point, but I've never heard back from it. At the time I signed up it was supposed to be like 2500 or so for the converted gun --- this was right after they stopped allowing you to buy your own 500BFR and send it to them for conversion. I think last I heard they were going outrageously more than 2500 so I have kind of ignored it since then. Don't get me wrong, this is exactly the kind of dumb thing that I desperately want, but the need factor is near zero and I don't like playing pricing games like that. Eventually they'll show up on auction and I'll at least have a chance of getting one reasonable.

What i understand it's $2700 for the conversion after buying the gun. If so that's way too much just for grin and giggles. I'll be looking for used as well so do me a favor and don't bid against me. Lol

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
