- THE 425 WESTLEY RICHARDS -
They came in all shapes and sizes
Extended mag, flush mag, 28” bbl, 24” bbl, bolt action, double rifle, engraved, and everything in-between.

Which one would you choose? (Not for sale)

I exclude the very nice double rifle because in my opinion the cartridge 425 Westley Richards is primarily a cartridge for a bolt action rifle. As for the bolt action rifles, without holding all these rifles in my hand, impossible to decide. All looks very nice.
With the rebated rim I wouldn't take the double(which is gorgeous)

I'd choose the bolt action just above the double. - Octagon barrel, extended magazine, dark wood with exquisite checkering.

Care to share more about it?
I’ve used both on buffalo…I concur!

Second from top is very nice.

A friend and former PH used to have a 425 that had been converted to 458 Win. Served him well and he wishes he still had it!

@PaulB I want to be like you when I grow up!

:ROFLMAO:

The top one does it for me - understated elegance - looks like it’s all business.

3rd one from the top is calling to me!!

That’s a spectacular battery of rifles.
I would definitely choose a bolt action with extended magazine. The second from the bottom has nice engraving, but the one just above, 3rd one from the bottom, with the claw mounts would make it such a general purpose, one gun safari rifle. Its’ lines and proportions also look the most “correct” to me. Only the front barrel band seems a bit too forward to me, proportion wise.

Are these all produced by WR, or are there other makers in there?

The one right above the double. Final answer. It makes mine look plain—which it is. :-)

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
