.416 vs .458: Just how tough are Nilgai?

Dr. Ray asked what Nilgai are made of?
They are made of grass! The same grass that the cattle eat if the Nilgai let them.

A little conflict for some ranchers. Nuff said?

I guess we know everything then ;). At the risk of being perceived as ignorant (maybe it’s too late?) I’ll have to disagree on how much is truly known and how much is an educated guess not pertaining to DNA. You’re right we didn’t come up with it, we just commercialized it and made it dirty. None of this convinces me that nilgai should be here.

This, folks, is a perfect example of a floating abstraction.

Whether or not nilgai should be here is purely an academic discussion. It the real world, they are here and we will never be able to eradicate them, and for a variety of reasons.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
