416 Taylor Need help for taking reloads

Hello all my son in law has decided he shoots my 416 Taylor better than a bunch of other calibers I have.
I know I can not take 458 brass converted to 416 Taylor .

Question when we go on this 21 day safari in 2027 can I take his 416 Taylor ammo as reloaded ammo in mtm box's with proper norma brass with 416 Taylor head stamp ?

Or do I have to have factory ammo in factory box for the 416 Taylor ?

I knew I should have never handed him this rifle, I must admit he did put 5 rounds with 400 gr bullets at 2350 fps under 1 inch at 50 yards off sticks this rifle just fits him so this is what he will be using.

Thank you all for letting me know how to let him use the 416 Taylor for this upcoming Safari.
The rifle is a custom Mauser with 3 position Winchester type safety ,24 inch XX Douglas barrel and a neat ARCHANGEL stock with ADJ cheek rest ADJ OAL pull with a true 5 round detachable clip synthetic stock

I always take hand loads in MTM boxes… as long as your head stamps say 416 Taylor you should be good to go..

We will be in Botswana , Kalahari ,northern cape for this safari South Africa ?
This is our first safari sorry for not knowing the cut off lines for South Africa

Yes. Ammo management for all my safaris have been handled in this manner. I will add I’ve never had ammo head stamp checked against rifle cartridge engraving. Notwithstanding, proper head stamp is the right way.

Hello Russ 16
To day I took out 5 rifles for Justin my son in law to decide what he shot the best 30/06 300H&H 375H&H 35 Whelen and the 416 Taylor. Justin will be hunting plains game only and he has decided on the 416 Taylor .
I will only use 458 solids for elephant and TSX for Buff all other game will be with lead bullet
just like the old timers did my other friend will be shooting 375H&H and 450 bush master

Yes this will be our first safari We will be going with a friend that has been two times to South Africa . 21 days starting in Botswana for elephant hippo and crock then we will travel to Kalahari mail lion non exportable then we will Finnish off in northern cape for Buff and plains game .

The Safari is booked for September 2027 so we have plenty of time for shooting and getting into shape for the long days chasing elephant I have dreamed of this safari for over 50 years
Time to do it and not wait any longer I will be 65 for this Safari and Justin was severally wounded in the big sand box war and is a very yung man with traumatic brain injury and 100% disable
My other friend is a young man and will probably leave Justin and I in the dust L.O.L.
This will be a fantastic safari for all of us .
