Good day all,

I think I might be one of few a members on AfricaHunting for the UK. My question is are there any brits that have the 375 cleared for use in the UK??
I only ask as I'm about to put in for a variation and feel I have now had enough stalking experience to go for the one rifle does everything caliber.

Yes, I do

Have you read the latest set of Home Office guidance on DG calibre's?

No I cant say I have. Have they made it any easier??

just found it:
The police will wish to be satisfied that an applicant has genuine intentions to use such
rifles abroad, though such visits may be infrequent. Zeroing and practicing with nonexpanding
ammunition may be permitted in the UK, providing a suitable range or land is
available. Those who home-load their non-expanding ammunition for such zeroing will
also need to test and chronograph it. Some rifles intended for antelope and other plains
game may also be suitable for deer, boar or other quarry shooting in this country. Once
initial “good reason” has been established for a rifle in shooting “dangerous game”, it may
also be considered for shooting the larger deer species and boar in Britain. Expanding
ammunition may (must in the case of deer) also be authorised for an applicant whose
certificate allows for the rifle also to be used for shooting deer or boar in Britain. Where a
shooter experiences difficulties in obtaining “dangerous game” cartridges in the country
where that game is to be hunted, arrangements can be made for a dealer to export an
appropriate quantity which can be collected by the shooter at the point of embarkation.
Individuals may be authorised expanding or non-expanding ammunition in line with typical
amounts authorised for use in firearms for target and quarry shooting.

This is rather interesting as a chum of mine has 9.3x74r for boar and deer in the UK but hasn't gone over the France yet!! Do you feel this is something I may be able to bring up with my FEO if need be??

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?

Hi Green Chile, I just recently bought a 470 NE barrel for my Thompson Center TCR 83-87 single shot. Im just looking for some 470 NE to shoot at the range just to try it out. I dont need anything special but I just wanted to see what you have left. I dont necessarily even need a full box.
Thanks
Bill
