What is the best trigger pull weight for a o/u 375 h&h?

is it a single or double trigger O/U?

Front trigger about 3lbs back about 4lbs

Better quality doubles dont come 4lbs 4lbs front is always lighter

I took it whitetail hunting on Saturday and missed 3 deer. I think my problem was managing the pull weight on the triggers. Dad has a trigger gauge so we measured them and they were 10 pounds 15 ounces and 11 pounds 8 ounces.

Those are heavy triggers on any gun! Would make it very difficult to retain sight picture when you need 2 fingers or a crowbar to pull the trigger.

On my Chapuis side by side it's 6lb on the front and 6 1/2lbs on the rear

What double is it?

I would have a good double rifle gunsmith work your triggers for a nice crisp no creep trigger pull in the 5lbs front and 4 lbs rear triggers give or take a pound.

Should be other way around....
But at over 10 pounds there is either something wrong with the gauge or serious issues with the rifles triggers to start with

@IvW Thank you for catching that, should have more coffee before I comment on a technical issue:X3:

You’re the 2nd person on this thread from Arkansas. I live in Benton.

Do you hunt out of state much?
