Good day members, a friend of mine is in need of re-loading data for a .35 Wheland, but with the use of SONCHEM powders from South Africa. He will be shooting a 250 gn bullet. All assistance will be much appreciated.

Gert, I use and reload for several 35 Whelens. I just ran a QuickLoad analysis using Somchem S341. Using a Woodleigh 250 Gn PP bullet I came up with a load of 58 Gr. of powder yielding 2480 FPS out of a 22 inch barrel. There is a little room for playing around with that load to optimize accuracy for the rifle being used. I prefer the 225 Gr. Swift A Frames or Barnes TSX as they travel a little faster and pack more punch than the 250 Gr. bullets do. As always start off a bit lower than that and work up based on pressure signs.

Thank you Shootist, I will forward this info to the person who needs it..(y)(y)

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
