I bought a flat of Norma 308win 150gr oyrx on sale ( they were discontinued) $200 for the flat
will these work on kudu, water buck , nyala? Or are they on the light side ?
I tested them on some deer & aoudad but had complete pass through so couldn't get an answer if core separation is a concern.
I will have my 375Ruger, or could take my .270win with barns 130gr ttsx instead for the PG or buy some more ammo in 180gr oryx

There are other bullets that would be my first choice but I’d have no concerns using them. I used the outfitters 308 with local PMP ammo for eland, kudu, nyala, warthog, etc on one safari. No issues.

Core separation is pretty much impossible with those Oryx bullets. They expand widely, usually to 2x caliber. So penetration is not as deep as some others, but shocking power is excellent. If you’ve been getting exits on deer sized game, what’s not to like? I like Oryx bullets for most of my hunting, they are reliable, accurate, and deadly. You need to decide for yourself, but I’d use the 150 gr. .308 Oryx for the species you’ve described, with full confidence.

Well my first choice would be 180g oryx, then 165g, then 150g

To answer your original question with a bit more attention to detail, I believe the .270 / 130 ttsx would be a practical equivalent to the . 308 / 150 Oryx. Better penetration, narrower wound channel. Flatter trajectory, less ability to break bone and continue to penetrate in a straight line. No practical or discernible difference on game.
The .375 Ruger is never a bad choice. But it kicks more, weighs more, and causes many shooters to flinch, so missing with a more powerful rifle leads a sensible person back to the .308. For general hunting of mid sized game, the .308 with 180 grain or 150 grain Norma Oryx bullets can only be slightly surpassed by the Oryx 165 grain. A match made in heaven.

Good to go for PG with that!

Share the trophy pics when you can!

Complete pass through on a big aoudad should give you confidence!

I’m always finding mushrooms in those damned goats. Built tough as you know.

Anime Slayer APK is honestly one of the best anime apps I’ve ever used. It’s packed with a massive collection of both popular and underrated titles, and everything streams smoothly without interruptions. I appreciate how well it runs even on mid-range Android devices.

Between Blak Rock and Pocahontas, I did not want to say that on the forum. That's a nice Cat!
