Came across a very nice Accumark in 270 that i'm considering buying. I'm not a huge weatherby fan, but even as a kid i can remember drooling over the MK Vs shown in the annual Gun Digest. Something about the 270 always intrigued me. Anyone on the forum have one? I'd be interested in any info, good or bad. Any bug-a-boos as far as reloading?
This would represent a radical departure from my preferred CZs, but something about this 270 is calling me. Thanks for any input.

Buy it, the 270 Weatherby mag was Roy Weatherby's favorite rifle round.

I have one in a Ruger No1 and it is a great shooter. My rifle likes Barnes 130 gr TTSX's at 3300 fps

Every WBY cartridge was Roy's favorite cartridge. :ROFLMAO:

I bought a used (has some scars) Weatherby Mark V in 270 Weatherby Magnum for $800 from Cabelas. I've hit a scuba tank at 845 yards with it 5 times in a row (so that's about 1 MOA) with Weatherby factory ammo (150g Partitions at 3250 fps). It's kick is like a 30-06 shooting 180g bullets so not an issue at all. Nice caliber. I have a Zeiss Conquest Z Reticle scope on it now. It's a bit heavy but it shoots well
