What time of year are the wing hunts? September & October? What are the limits on various birds?

We open up our bird hunts Oct 1 and run until the end of March(ish). If the weather holds we will run into April sometimes but we shut it down as soon as it starts getting hot as we don't want to heat stroke a dog.
We don't have limits (except where noted below), we start seeding fields in October and do so throughout our season as well as releases prior to every hunt. We hunt them until we can't find anymore. Our flush % is very good, as far as kill% well that's always up to the hunters. The number of birds released prior to each hunt varies as to the size of the group. I can assure you there is not a shortage of birds and I believe those AH'rs who have hunted with us will attest to this.
Native quail are 15/ person though we don't hammer on them really hard, our native quail population is just now starting to recover. When we run the dogs on native birds we'll bust a covey and shoot a few then pull off and find another. I won't allow anyone to shoot out a covey of natives. We can only hunt native quail in conjunction with the Texas quail season, they havent posted the dates yet but last year was Oct 26-Feb 23.

I know we had a grand time with the folks at the Rockin G earlier this year. Lots of birds and the meals were excellent.
We look forward to making it over for another hunt sometime in the near future.
