Hi all,
Our season has kicked off and it’s been good fun to get back to hunting. Sitting at home yesterday reflecting back on the past couple of days, I went through a couple of pictures and I decided to share them with everyone here, our clients have asked not to post photos of them on any...
Bowhunting africa's majetic striped donkey all jokes aside I am ecstatic to have hunted my first ever zebra!
The 44yard shot hit its mark and the animal did not make it far.

Thanks to Broken Arrow...
Bye, Bye pig!
A good video/killshot to start your day!
Not a big pig, but my first ever harvest with the new crossbow! The Carbon Express piledriver made quick work of him, pulling up his handbrake for him!
He is going to make some great cheese sausage and cheesegrillers!
I got lucky and harvested my new personal best warthog! This warthog was the perfect animal to harvest as he had only 2 lower teeth left and had just started losing condition.
I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to hunt at Kransberg safaris with my dad and brother!

Good day AH community!
Here is a thread to keep a diary of the hunting and experiences shared with us in the 2021 season! There will be a few fun photo's of us doing what we love with our clients as well as trophy photos! Hopefully this captures some of our 2021 season and the experiences...
Good day AH community!
"Here is a personal hunting story written by our very own Dempsey Bayly. This of course happened a good few years before him and Michael Sippel started their company Bayly Sippel Hunting Safaris. We hope you enjoy the story! - BSHS"
It all started whilst working at my...
A blood spewing lung shot sealed the deal on my new PB buck!
So blessed to have been able harvest such a beautiful Impala ram! The meat is definitely not going to waste and I will cherish that hunt for a LONG time!

This weekend whilst out hunting with my bow I wounded my very first warthog. We spent 6 to 7 hours searching for the warthog over 2 days. I...
Time for and educative bowhunting video:
This video just shows how quick our African animals react! With all the predators around these animals are just so tuned in with there senses. This video is a compilation with movement tracking to show you how much these animals actually can jump you...
This video proves just how tough these African animals are! Although we initially thought this Impala ram was dead, he had other ideas when I grabbed his horns lesson learnt about making 120% sure the animal is dead! I put the full stalk part in to show just how the whole hunt down
After testing many of the new bows on the market this year, and making a few different Bow Battle Vids comparing them (you can see those on my YouTube Channel: Lusk Archery Adventures), there was one clear winner for me. I'm eager to take this new rig on my next trip to Africa.
This video was taken in 2018 in the Limpopo District during a bowhunt. I had my bow with me but no other weapons were available. We tried to manage to get out of the blind to take a shot but it heard the door open and quickly (very quickly) went into and hole a few feet away. The PH with us...
Just returned from a 7 days hunting trip from Bokamoso Safari in Botswana. I was there with my father Thierry, my brother in law Julien and a friend from France Marcel. I was going to bow-hunt for 7 days while the others will be hunting with riffles. Marcel brought his bow as he was keen to...
My husband and I are headed to RSA later this year for our first hunting trip abroad. He is taking his gun, potentially his bow, and I am taking my bow (I will shoot his rifle if I'm sick of the bow). I have a few questions regarding the bow, and customs. I've seen people say to do 4457...
Good morning all at AH.
I am taking this time to ask for any oppertunity to work as a PH. Full time or part time.
I am a licenced PH in the Eastern Cape. Been hunting since the age of 10.
At this stage I own my own business in construction. We build log cabins and decks etc.
I have been...
After several safaris to the northern part of the country, it makes quite a difference when you discover the green mountains of the Eastern Cape. A perfect environment for walk and stalk opportunities with the bow or rifle, a magnificent organization by Family Hunting Safaris and the most...
HI
I shoot a 35lb 27" turkish recurve bow (built by Pierre De Wet) with 350gr arrows .Iwas wondering if this is suitable for small to medium sized antelope hunting?
A friend of mine recently bid on an African 2 man hunt with Theron Safaris over in Mozambique and won it. He called me and asked if I would share this potentially amazing trip with him. I took the day and considered the impacts financially. My beautiful bride fianlly told me I would be crazy to...
The hunting buddy, Brad and I had a new first for elk hunting. We pulled a double header, he got his bull in the morning and I got lucky on the evening hunt. The morning started out with an answer when we got into one of our lick areas, that encounter was over real quick as the bull came in on a...
Joined this site looking for info on African plains game shot placement. Planning a trip for the first week or so of May, 2016. Need info on what to expect for bowhunting the Limpopo region during that time of year. Will also do rifle hunting. Trying to get there before full winter. These old...
(August 2019)
It is the time of year when the reports start being filed here on AH and it has been a pleasure to read them and I am sure more are in the oven. I thought I would start my own.
I tend to encourage people to share their stories and I found it very interesting this year to have...
2007 Nyamuswa, Zimbabwe. Gutted the ele was tracked down one long day long (30+km) and finished with the 375. Hectic day as we had to check quite a few bulls close and personal, and decamp from ele herds' anger.
2007 Nyamuswa Zimbabwe with Buzz Charlton. We saw this 50lbs bull twice before shooting him at 12m. On the pic he is scrutinising us, then turned and was shot in the belly, a twig deflectin the arrow. None the less the arrow whizzed through the ele's body and shattered in the bush behind.
. 2007 Nyamuswa Zimbabwe with Buzz Charlton and Tristan Peacock. 5th day of hard running after this elusive tom, the hounds were finished. Thanks to Tristan Peacock's great team.
One shot kill at 15 m to a treed pissed tom.
