Specific trophies.
My favorites in hunt
May I ask the typical cost of a roe deer hunt in Italy? Croatia? Any European country that you recommend?
It has been a dream hunt for decades (along with pronghorn). Finally have the time…

As soon as my house is done building I am thinking of swapping a couple of roebucks for a hunt in northern america.

My dachshund chased this nice roebuck for one and a half hour last weekend, and I was lucky to finish the drive with a bullet from my 6,5x55.
Usually I use shotgun for this type of hunt but since we got quite a lot of red deer in the same area I chose the Sauer rifle this time.

Hi Lou, prices depend on the package. They are different if only one roe deer is hunted or if you have other game animals in the package. Generally the prices are not high for trophies of medium value 80-100 CiC. I live in Serbia and here the prices for the mentioned trophy value are around 300-400eu ($450) if only one roe deer is hunted.
In Serbia the trophy price is based on the weight of the antlers. So the more developed and less heavy ones are around 200eu

I believe Poland would be the cheapest. Accommodation, license etc around 700 EUR for a few days + the cost per buck from perhaps 300 to 1000 EUR depending on size. But look in the deals section for other countries too.

Croatia: 300 to 400 eur, trophy fee for respectable and representative buck

What makes the price higher for a foreigner is agency pricing. Sometimes is doubled.

Typically, guide will be 50 eur per day. (hunting companion on price list)
Thats it.

Extra cost will be lodging.

Here is breakdown of Croatian Forestry price list. They are govt company, and they manage best hunting areas around.
Local hunters consider them "expensive", but in reality their prices are good as measuring stick, once you get agency pricing. Local club pricing will be cheaper, private hunting area will be more expensive. So, this CF pricing below is representative and within average values.

If you get agency pricing compare with that, and get idea whether agency is expensive or not.

I think I have never shot a roe buck over 100 CIC. Best buy size is just below bronze medal. (see photos below)

Thank you for the LIKE on my old post. It brought back memories as I lost her a year and a half ago, at 18+ years.
