I was an about to say something similar. Is Eva Shockey even relevant anymore? Was she or would she have even been relevant if it wasn’t for who her father was? I know several people who’ve received death threats and vile comments on different social media platforms, myself included over photos or videos I’ve posted. I see zero difference in the hunter being male or female, known or unknown. I don’t think anti hunters and trolls online really care about gender, race or religion. Obviously the larger your following and presence is online, the more likely you’ll receive exposure from anti hunters and anti hunting groups.

Sort of off topic but I’ve had a buddy walking around a show floor text me a picture of my with an animal I’ve hunted and had absolutely zero idea who the outfitter was advertising me/my trophy in their photo album. It happened twice this past spring with a Mule Deer and a Cinnamon Bear from two separate outfitters and shows.
I’ve also seen outfitters advertise photos of people/trophies that I know they had zero to do with. I met a New Mexico outfitter at the Great American who showed a photo of bull elk an acquaintance killed in “his” trophy album. Ironically I’d helped follow-up on and pack out the bull because I’d had a tag in the same unit then and crossed paths. I made a comment about it being a heck of a bull, and the outfitter started telling the “story” of it and how it was one of his more memorable hunts. When he finished his “story” I said “that’s not how I remember the hunt went down or you being there but I can call XYZ and ask for if my recollection is wrong” in his crowded booth. Should’ve seen how white his face got and the excuses he tried to make. Unfortunately it’s very hard to catch or notice when stuff like this happens and makes me wonder how often it actually does happen.

I hear you. The celebrity nepotism seems pretty rampant these days. We're now seeing third generation Hollywood actors (Drew Barrymore, Dakota Johnson, Riley Keough, etc.). The late comic Drake Sather had a biting quip about Amelio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, etc. ("Their next movie should be called 'If It Weren't For Our Fathers, We'd Be Giving ___s on Santa Monica Boulevard!' ").

Our celebrity dynasties are America's form of "royalty". They often expect to be treated as such.

Daughters of famous hunters have an assured niche as rare women ambassadors for the sport. I can understand why they jump at the opportunity, yet I would ask that anybody benefiting from such a public inheritance be a walking definition of social generosity and humility (Princess Kate comes to mind). This is very uncommon because of social media. I tire of seeing stories of, for example, Ivanka Trump's trips to Iceland, the Caribbean, etc. Folks who can are free to "live large", I just don't want it rubbed in my face.

i grew up in WA state, retired my last job and considered moving back there to be by family. even bought a house to rent out till we retired, decided i did not want to live in a commie state. sold the house and stayed in alaska, will end up moving down to the lower 48 at some point, but wont be in a commie/socialist run state for sure.
