My Newly Stocked CZ 550 is Done

I purchased a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby a couple of years ago from @neckdeep. It had received the American Hunting Rifles #3 upgrade. It is a beautiful rifle that functions perfectly. Just one problem. The length of pull was too short for my gangly arms! @neckdeep had accurately listed the length of pull. I was hoping I could make do, but it was just too short to comfortably shoot.

So I sent it to a Missouri stock maker for a new stock with a 14 1/2 inch length of pull. I chose a blank of Claro walnut that looked like it had nice figure. The stock maker finished it today! I pick it up next week. Here are a couple of pictures he sent me.

Wow, that's a real beauty! Congratulations on an awesome looking 416 Rigby!

Who is the stock maker?
 
I will PM anyone interested in the stock maker’s details. I don’t want to list it here for fear of running afoul of the classified rules here on the site!
 
Very nice...and I look forward to future hunt reports with it! Someday the world might wake up and realize that 416 Rigby's are one of the best calibers for Africa.
 
I’m well down the path of selecting my next safari. Probably in 2028. Buffalo for sure.

Doug I have never felt undergunned with the 416 but I have been quoted as saying I wish I had the 416 in these thorns!

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
