Has anyone used these Swift 7mm A-Frames?
I have some I want to try in my 7PRC. But, if i load them to mag length, the jump is gonna be about .200 inches. My Barnes 160LRX handloads like that jump, but i have doubts the 160 A-Frames will.

Following. Just purchased swifts and some brass for the 7 PRC.

Have you considered the 175 gr SAF? My 7mm RM likes 175 gr bullets. I would guess the 7 PRC would perform well with 175.
 
Id use 175s in your PRC. You have plenty of case and powder to push it.
So far I have seen 175gr A-Frames in my 7x57 like a .020 jump. I have also noticed that the groups get worse if I try and push them hard.
I have some 160s, but havent had time to try them yet.
 
I bought the 175 gn. Reached out to Swift for load data. I missed a call from them today but it appears they don’t have specifics for the 7mm PRC. Guessing they are going to suggest a starting point to work up a load of my own.

Also picked up some 170 gn TTSX to play with. A buddy bought their loaded 160 gn LR and is getting 3/8 groups. I’m going to replicate with the 170s

Anyone have experience loading either bullet in the 7mm PRC?

I have use the 160s in the best of the 30-06 offspring, the 280 Remington with great results. I’ve taken Kudu and Nyala with it and great success. My Dakota had quite a bit of feee bore and shot them great. Only way to see if that is too much jump is to shoot it and see

I got just under 2900 with them out of my 280 AI.

A 175 gr Partition launched from a PRC at 2750 or 2800 has a lot more reach that you'll likely ever need or use.

IMO, all 7mm are best served with 160 - 175 gr pills, even the slow ones like 7x57 and 7mm-08.

My 7 PRC likes factory Barnes 160LRX rounds and 160LRX handloads over H1000. I bought the 160 SAF before finding it liked the 160LRX. Not looking to spend more on developing a 175gr load. The 160LRX go into a .333 hole. Good o tryenough for my hunting. I will probably load a few rounds of the 160SAF just try.
 
I've used them quite a bit in a 7x64 Brenneke on African game. Kudu, gemsbuck, red hartebeest, blesbuck, springbuck, impala. Never managed to recover a single one. Great bullet in my book.
 
I have used the 160 AF's in my Ruger #1 .280 REM. 2875. One hole 3 shot groups at 100 yds. Devastating on deer/pigs. I seated to cannelure so, I know I had a lot of freebore.

I have been shooting 162 gr ELD-x out of my 280 AI at approx 2850, but thinking about the 160 gr AF for my next plains game trip. I have tried the heavier 7mm bullets but my 9.5 twist doesn’t really like them as much as the 160ish gr.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
