The grouse shooting season in the UK started on Tuesday. I managed to arrange a day's walked-up shooting although it was over 90°f with no shade on the moor. My one and only chance came after 3 hours....which made it all worthwhile.

The Glorious 12th is my birthday, one of these days I want to celebrate it on a moor.

A reminder of a special day in 2019. A lot of the moor was affected by a wildfire this summer, so I don't if / when I'll have an opportunity to shoot there again.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
