For Sale .375 H&H Magnum Magnum Barreled Action by Master Gunsmith Alfred Wyss-Gallifent

I will take it.
I’m hoping it was my text that pushed you over the edge. I’d been eyeing this but having just written checks for a new roof and a new HVAC the last couple weeks couldn’t bring myself to write another.

Most Paul Jaeger Rifles had the sling swivel through the stock.

Whew... congrats Bryan, a very nice barreled action! I kept telling myself "you don't need another .375, you do not need another .375" and then would switch to "you do not need another custom build" when I started getting weak! Send that set-up to Chris Rossiter at Griifin & Howe to do some rose and scroll engraving and caliber designations and then a new English walnut stock by your favorite gun guy and you will have an heirloom...

'Very German engineering, found on the heavier-recoiling models (it was on my 35W AI but not the 257R AI Jaegers). The 257 was a 26" med varminter/longer range rig w/ virtually no recoil, whereas the 35 was a very compact woods gun (short bbl, trim stock w/ schnabel), but it served as a forward recoil lug/sling swivel stud. Things you won't see on black plastic o' today. Nearly all stocks (done by Dietrich Appel for Jaeger) featured a shadowline cheek piece and I believe the smiths left their initials in hidden places when pieces were done. I'd see if NEGC can furnish some wood (or point you to someone that can) for that artwork!

I have a Fajen stock for an Interarms X M98 I had as a teen. It's bedded and was super accurate, but all function and very little form (pretty plain walnut). I put a synthetic on it to be a bit more weatherproof and then someone made me an offer on the gun I couldn't refuse (when they saw how well it shot at the range! 300 WM). Now I remember why I held onto the stock...I have nicer walnut blanks and now wood shops can cheaply duplicate (and eve make mods to) an existing stock using better wood on CNCs (and had a pile of M98s but they're all gone now.)

That bbl is your opportunity to get a nice, heavy piece of wood installed that will function as its best recoil reduction system! GL

I've been in touch with the owner (friend of who posted here) and I'm happy to be getting it and helping the owner in his older years to thin out the collection.

I've been in conversation with JJ about this project. He is only stocking break open actions at this point with the equipment he has to work with. He could definitely build the scope mount/rings as needed.

I've thought about using NECG to finish it. It will be finished in a pre-war Germanic style. I'm open to suggestions on little touches to finish it in that style.

One thing I need to find this is the recently discontinued Swaro 3-9x36 1" scope.

I am interested in living vicariously in this one. Is it possible for you to post progress photos. I was extremely tempted, but like AZDave I have to many projects going right now. What an amazing opportunity for you, congratulations!!!

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
