For Sale CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery Custom Shop, like new

Ladies and gents. I recently purchased this rifle along with a CZ in 505 Gibbs and with my recent Zim trip and taxidermy bills coming, this one needs to go down the road to someone who will enjoy its capabilities.

This is a Triple River CZ Custom Shop model 550 in 500 Jeffery. This rifle has been fired three times during its life and is in near like new condition. I will highlight any stock bumps or marks below but it truly looks stunning. These pop up rarely in this condition so it does sting a little to let it go. This is in original unaltered condition, but no box. Specs below:

Barrel: 24"
Magazine capacity: 3 (can get 3+1)
Trigger: CZ single set trigger
Stock: Fancy grade
Weight: 10.75 Lbs
Mercury Recoil reducer: Yes

Maybe I missed it, but what custom upgrades were done to this rifle by Triple River CZ Custom Shop? Do you have a checklist or itemized receipt indicating what work they did?

For example, I was expecting to see a M70-style 3-position safety, but nada.

Rifle was purchased from the original owner who ordered from Triple River. Only customizations added were: upgraded stock/wood

reworked action for smoothness in feeding (its extremely nice for a CZ)

glass bedded stock (I believe I left that out in the original post)

Mercury reducer in buttstock and weight embedded to forend

I didn't think Triple River did the 3 position safety like AHR, but I could be wrong and just never saw one.

Very nice. Wish it was in my price range.

Were the recoil reducers standard additions from CZ in the 505 Gibbs and 500 Jeffery ?

I did some more digging to see how CZ went about their safari classics/ 500J and 505 Gibbs line. Looks like these were all CZ custom shop/ Triple River that came with glass bedding, mercury recoil reducer, barrel band sling point, action job, and upgraded wood. Bolt jeweling and muzzle break were also additions if you wanted but the 500J and 505 Gibbs were built to order by them in this configuration. Catalog screen shot below

Interesting, and thanks for digging that up chart. It distinguishes between the “Express Rifle” line and the “Magnum Express Rifle” line.

Which calibers were the Express Rifles?

@Jack Stevens Looks like the "Express" rifle from safari Classics was 23.6" barrel and 8lbs....ouch. I'm guessing those were almost certainlly the 458 and under calibers, but who knows as each was supposedly custom built per the customer build request.
