9.3x62 Assortment

Just curious, is there another Rules section? This is all I see and it says nothing about a public I'll take it.

NOT EMBARRASSED AT ALL ... WHAT PART OF "THOSE RULES ARE WHAT KEEP THINGS "FAIR" FOR ALL" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? I DO A LOT OF SELLING AND BUYING ON THIS FORUM BECAUSE THERE ARE "RULES" ... IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RULES HERE ... GO TO GUNBROKER ...

I CALLED MY GRANDSON AND TOLD HIM I BOUGHT HIM A BIRTHDAY PRESENT .. A PACKAGE FOR HIS 9.3X62 RIFLE .... AND THEN THIS WHOLE SELLING POSTING WENT SOUTH ... IT PISSES ME OFF TO HAVE TO PASS ON A SECOND HAND APOLOGY ..
The seller had and still has no obligation to sell to you. He also stated that it was posted elsewhere. Would you be as equally impudent if he said that it sold elsewhere that morning? It is completely your fault for assuming that you “purchased” the package from him before even confirming it with him. Since you want to try to guilt trip the seller on the story about your grandson maybe consider the fact the original buyer who messaged the seller far before you was also purchasing the package as a gift for someone and you just ruined that chance out of spite. Again shame on you for being so entitled.

Agreed, I’ve seen some sellers say in their posts they will honor the first “I’ll take it” but some sellers(like the OP) also state please PM….

Just in case you fellows don't know, the Vulcan 232gr. have a jacket that is a full 1/16" thick. Hell of a bullet especially out of a 9.3x57 at 2,540fps. Would probably work fine out of the 62mm case at 2,700 to 2,840fps as well.

REALLY? .... I GOT THIS POST FROM HIM VIA A DM ... SO I ASSUMED I HAD PURCHASED THE LOT.

"tblom .. .. my phone number is 218-348-xxx. feel free to reach out for payment.."

I WILL MOVE ON NOW ...

No doubt about it, this is a fairly disappointing exchange. I generally feel this is a fairly evolved community (one I am proud to be involved with), but this affair seemed unworthy of it's spirit.

I personally believe the items were offered for sale in good faith and at a reasonable price. Someone was really going to get a good deal. There was no scam here and it is a case of crying wolf to suggest it (Defamation: The overarching legal and social term for making false or misleading statements about a person that cause harm to their reputation.). This member has engaged in buying and selling on this forum for a year now, and you are going to accuse him of being a scammer. With no more evidence then you didn't get to purchase the package yourself. Also, I don't buy the use of capitalization as a crutch for diabetes. You have posted in the past without being on full caps. A gentleman would simply admit his error and apologize!

GOOD GRIEF, THIS IS DISAPPOINTING. You see what I did there. I wanted to emphasize that statement so I used all caps. Almost like YELLING!!

I have no dog in this fight, but I will add my 2 cents worth of opinion.

The seller first posted at 9:06am and received a PM from a buyer at 9:40am saying they will take it all. At this point, the seller should have posted "SPF".

At 1:30 pm, a member posted an offer for part of the package. At 1:37pm, the seller replied "No, selling everything together." There was no mention of "SPF." To the casual reader, it would appear the items are still available.

At 1:38pm, another member posted an offer for part of the package. At 1:43pm, the seller replied "No, selling everything together." There was no mention of "SPF." Once again, it appears the items are still available.

The seller's failure to post "SPF" is what created this mess.

@buckstix posted at 1:47pm, "PM sent, I will take all."

I don't personally know any of the participants in this thread, but believe they are all honorable AH members. People that have made comments and criticisms toward @buckstix should re-examine the timeline.

I find this fascinating.

The real lesson here is don't post insanely good deals for fear someone may have a temper tantrum if they dont get one too.

Just a suggestion, maybe examine both parties posts for the last month and see if either has done this almost exact thing before!!!! IT WAS ENLIGHTENING!!!

Even upon reexamining the timeline there is absolutely no reason that you should be defending buckstix lol. Why would you defend a grown adult throwing a temper tantrum? As soon as the OP explained the situation any sane reasonable person would’ve been done with it and moved on…. not this fellow. Rather he went on to lambast the OP and then accuse him of being a scammer. To me this is sad deplorable behavior that should be called out and not defended whatsoever, which is why I said what I said originally.

Also, if we are following the sentence you circled above to the exact wording I still don’t believe it applies here. Is an item truly sold until you receive the funds for it? Sure, he could’ve posted “SPF” but even by the wording in the rules I don’t believe he is required to in the slightest. I’m sure he was awaiting payment and I guarantee he would’ve posted “Sold” after receiving payment. Everyone who sells is a different person and everyone isn’t going to handle it the same way, again most rational people would understand that.

Tblom, I think I would go ahead and make the sale to Skullkeeper, I can vouch that he is an excellent buyer. I don't know that any reasonable person would fault you.

Christ sake my man you sound like an absolutely nightmare buyer…. Are you that upset you missed out on some reloading components? I don’t see it very virtuous to lambast this man for saying someone DM’d him. You single handedly ruined another persons deal because he didn’t post on the actually listing and followed the sellers instructions to PM him. I would be embarrassed if I were you.
shit happens, all the anger over $130.00 worth of reloading supplies.

@Noah Hutchens you really shouldn't lecture others (me in particular). Your post #19, #24 and #34 are the outlandish posts of this thread. You stated there was no reason I should be defending @buckstix. I was defending anybody. I reread all the posts and I don't see @buckstix throwing a temper tantrum. I do see you making more of it that anyone. I systematically went through the time stamps of all the posts and made my observation and comment. The OP seemed to respond in real time with the two partial offers. Why the OP didn't say he had received and accepted an offer 4 hours earlier is strange, in my opinion.

The OP is fairly new, like yourself. For that very reason, being cautious when dealing with newbies is advisable.

You also wrote: I’m sure he was awaiting payment and I guarantee he would’ve posted “Sold” after receiving payment.

How can you guarantee the OP would've posted "Sold?" Is this not speculation on your part? Are you defending the OP?

Yes I’m sure everyone would agree I’m on the wrong…. Nice.

I don’t see the fellows comments as being cautious at all… he went from 0 to 60 when he didn’t get what he wanted and then the unfounded accusations started flying.

I said I guaranteed he would’ve posted “sold”when it ACTUALLY sold because he did that very thing in one of his previous listings selling brass. He posted it for sale, it sold, and the same day he commented “Sold”……..

And yes I was defending him from some jerk who ruined his listing lol. I’m happy I did.

I have no issues with you whatsoever so I’m not wanting to argue with you, I was just standing up for a guy that needed it.

Just remember this....Ol' Hedge loves yuns!!! And mean it, too!!!!

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
