Kreighoff double rifles - worth buying?

They offer what they call a PH finish on the barrels as an extra. I just checked and it’s called Ilaflon- basically a Teflon type of finish that is especially durable and resistant to corrosion. Blued barrels are standard

Absolutely. Get ejectors. I prefer 500/416 or 416 RM. but also get a 30 cal and 20G barrel set. Then you can do anything. And a 375 never hurt. That is my set up

The one I’m looking at has this finish.

As mentioned you can add weight of new as all built to order
Before you do so, please try out first. Everyone is different and adjusts differently. You dont want to end up with a rifle that is over your limit, considering the heavier it is more difficult to reload and handle for days in the African fauna.

Just for the record and for whats its worth my weighs 10 pounds 8oz. With both barrels loaded and a sling it touches 11 pounds. Recoil is manageable and I can manage the reloading as fast as I can. Anything more probably I can but it would eat up on some fast reloading and the added weight over a long haul may not be worth it.

.

Blued.
Thanks for the info. What is the finish on the barrel of the big five classic? It doesnt looked to be blued but a Matt finish of some sort.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
