Thanks again @AZDAVE, 2 weeks ago I received my Dakota 76 in .338 WM. While waiting on scope mounts I shot it using the Irons. It shot amazingly but I struggled to see the front sight.
I commented on adding a chunk of diamond or a piece of warthog ivory.
Dave responded saying that he had pieces of elephant ivory. And how it works much better the warthog ivory.
So here is my new front sight on the Dakota.
I’m going to add Ivory to the irons of every rifle I may need to use iron sights on. The .338 isn’t a a close range rifle but at least I can see the sights now.
