I recently received my flat skins and Euro mounts from my 2025 Khomas Highlands hunt in Namibia, completed by Ingwe Taxidermy. I always enjoy seeing other people’s trophy rooms and how they display their mounts, so I thought I’d share mine.

I only shoulder-mounted one of the two kudu I harvested, and it, along with the zebra rug, will go in my trophy room at home. The rest of the mounts and flat skins are displayed at my cabin on the farm.

I also want to give a shoutout to Katrin at Ingwe Taxidermy. She was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She personally drove to Phillip’s place to pick up our animals, and the entire process was smooth and professional.

Even though I didn’t use Ingwe for my shoulder mounts, they were by far the best taxidermist I found in Namibia. The quality of their work was outstanding. The flat skins were beautifully done, the Euro mounts were clean without being over-boiled, and the packaging was second to none. The flat skins arrived folded but without deep creases that were difficult to remove, and all seven of my Euro mounts arrived in perfect condition without a single issue.

If you take your taxidermy seriously and are having work done in Namibia, I would definitely recommend giving Ingwe Taxidermy a look.

I really like what you did there with the flat skin on the wall and the skulls

I think it turned out good too. Crazy thing about it is I stapled it to the wall. So it was easy to do also. I got carried away with flatskins so I needed to figure out things to do with them. How well they can do flatskins and the price I couldn’t not do all of them. Haha. My brother in law is a taxidermist and he couldn’t believe the flatskins. That’s one thing no doubt they can do better than we can and the cost is crazy cheap in my opinion. Ingwe was the only shop I looked at over there that their shoulder mounts look similar to good taxidermist over here. If I did get shoulder mounts over there they would be the only shop I would let do it.

Lookin' good!

Thanks for taking the time to write this and for sharing your photos. It's always great to see where everything ends up, and your display with the hartebeest and skulls looks fantastic.

And thanks for giving Katrin a mention! She works incredibly hard and will really appreciate reading that. She spends plenty of weekends on the road collecting trophies so she can spend the week looking after clients and keeping things moving. Most people never see that side of the job, so it was nice to see someone acknowledge it.

Thanks again, and enjoy your trophy memories!
