I built a hunting lodge in the mountain

Dear Rimbaud,
we hunters love nature and the forest. We could wander the wilderness for days without ever having to return to civilization. To people who are not hunters, all this is completely unacceptable. For them, it is a waste of time, money and energy. Even when I show them that a fox enters my cabin, they say I'm completely crazy :)
My father and I are passionate hunters and we love the forest and the countryside. Whereas our wives, for example, can only go for one day and that's all. There are more for shopping and shopping :)
My friend, We are the same. My dream is a mountain cabin filled with my books and rifles and shotgun and big stone fireplace. It is not my wife's dream. Thanks for sharing and taking us along on your journey.

It was a pleasure my friend. I hope we meet sometime hunting.
I also hope that you will realize your dream as soon as possible and build that fireplace in the mountain

AWESOME How much did it cost you?

@Miletic Well done sir!

I love the fireplace and you have inspired me to build my own cabin.

I'll ask you the same question I ask every person I know that completes a building.......

Having completed the project is there anything you would have done differently or wish you would have done?

First of all, I'm glad that I inspired you to build. Yes, when the work is finished, a person always sees that he could have done something differently. If I were to make it again now, I would increase the width by 20 cm. It's a very small increase, but I miss it so much that I can put my favorite armchair without it getting in the way in the living room. I would also add a small room at the entrance, something like a corridor, but now it is finished. Be sure to pay attention to such details and realistic measures

Please forgive me but what part of Europe is your great cabin

Fantastic build, from where did you get the plans or was it an individual design?

It was designed by me and my father. I mean, the cabin manufacturer already has his own plans that depend on the size of the house. We didn't want that. We changed the already existing plan according to our wish. The total size is 55m2

Very cool!
Interesting build process, looks like pre assembled SIP panels. I'm in the process of building one in the mountains too, lots of work!

Yes, the panels are assembled in the factory, it is only assembled on the field. Possibly some small corrections.
If you already make it yourself, then you know how much work it is. Insulation in the walls is important. You should not put Styrofoam, I assume you know that. It is best to put glass wool

Looking at the photo with the snow on the roof, do you occasionally need to shovel the snow off? Is your cabin located in Serbia?

I cleaned the solar panels maybe twice. The roof does not need to be cleaned. I have a rather gentle roof angle. That's what I wanted, but it could be sharper. In this case, the height of the ceiling in the rooms rises significantly and the heavier rooms are heated
Yes,cabin is in Serbia
