SOUTH AFRICA: Has Anyone Hunted With Africa Maximum Safaris?

Good Afternoon,

I am in a bit of a conundrum and looking for some infomration. I have bid on an auction -I know it may have been a foolhardy move- and I happened to win it. It will likely take place in 2027 and we will be hunting with Africa Maximum Safaris. Do you have any experience with this outfit. Good, bad or ugly, I would very much appreciate any information.

Thank you! It is nice to know. What were your accommodations like? How were the guides? Plenty of animals seen? I am taking two non-hunters and I am sure they would be keen to see as much wildlife as possible. Did you do any of their "touristy" stuff, like the national park etc?
 
I took a group last of 10 last June. We hunted with Africa Maximum Safaris.
Everybody had a great time and wonderful experience.
Gene was my PH and did a superb job.
Zander was my buddies PH and he also did a great job. You must ask him about his Indian (Native American) tracking skills. He fell down a couple times, my buddy asked him if he was listening for game with his ear to the ground.
We also broke away and played golf one afternoon.

We visited with them at the SCI show Jacque and Natalie treated us like family.
I truly believe they are very good people who do a lot of good for the local community.

I would book with them again, I recommend them to another friend who wants a Buffalo hunt.

Jo burg and Pretoria have some interesting things to see. We also have flown down to Cape Town twice and toured. This trip we stayed in Stellenbosch for a week and toured the wine country. I really prefer Cape Town to Jo Burg.

Just looked up your report. Sounds like a fantastic trip. Would love to put something together like that.

We had a great trip with Africa Maximum Safaris.
Jacque and Natalie are great hosts.
The staff is friendly and welcoming.
My PH Gene was great!
AMS and the PHs perfectly matched up hunters to PH’s

We flew Delta dierect from ATL. We did have a two hour delay leaving out of ATL

I put together a trip with 6 other friends. We had one cancel two weeks before the trip. One of the guys, it was his first time hunting.
My buddies dad had a stroke a month before the trip and lost the vision in his right eye. So he trained up on shooting left handed. What a trooper.

Do not fret. I went there on an auction safari March 2025. Have never been to Africa or hunted big game and they took very good care of us. Lodging was good and clean, didn't go hungry and plenty of choices for beverage. We did do some of the non-hunting excursions, hot air ballon ride was great, a bit pricey though. Lion Park safari small group trip was excellent, Monkey sanctuary was a lot of fun. Lezander was our PH, outstanding man full of knowledge. We are going back in 2027 also and are looking forward to it!

Thank you for the update. I’am headed there in 2027 for the first time (also an auction hunt,) and I should hope it is going to be as much fun as you explained it.
