Superior vs Hendershots Ammo

I always had good luck with Superior Ammunition and always had great customer service. Took the drive to Henderdhots several times before he started with ammo. Great store, great people. They carried Ed Brown rifles back then and I bought a half a dozen of them about 20 years ago.

Overall your groups have more vertical dispersion than horizontal. I would loosen the front screw a few foot pounds of pressure. Have around 65 ft lbs on the main recoil lug screw. Less on the rear and that aforementioned pesky front screw. This may reduce the vertical stringing.

Wow! My mistake! "As I was..."

Make that INCH pounds rather than foot pounds!
The rule of thumb is 65 inch pounds for a Remington M700 action.
A CZ may be less than 65. Too much torque can squeeze the stock wood and crack the bedding. If you have an inch pound torque wrench, perhaps 40 is a starting point.

Safari Arms for me. John Lasala is the best I’ve dealt with.

I can call him to discuss what want, or think I want and he listens. But on more than one occasion he has steered me in a different direction, thankfully.

I never try to put him in a situation where I have to have the ammo quickly because he has other orders to fill from other customers. But I know if I had an emergency ammo issue he would do what he could to help.

Plus, he makes quality ammo. The test ammo is the way to start.

My 2 cents

The owner of Superior ammo is a top notch individual. He helped me out a lot with a problem I was having with my 404 jeff. He even called me weeks later to see if I fixed the problem and to confirm what the issue was.

I agree, Lonnie is top notch, he has a wealth of knowledge. I have also had ammo loaded by Safari Arms and Hendershots.

My experience with Superior Ammunition, loading quality hunting loads for my .458 B&M was Excellent.

Lonnie took the time on the phone to explain in layman terms with deep details what he thought was best for my gun, game & my abilities. His loads hammered the crap out of Buffalo with 420 gr CEB Raptors & 400 gr BBW #13 Solids. I also thought his pricing was more than fair, considering the quality and performance in return. The turn around time, after sending my custom brass was very reasonable and before their estimate time frame. I especially liked the compact ammo cases. They are efficient with a plastic snap in place design where they don’t rattle & are stackable. I packed these in my lockable ammo carrier on my Safari, it looked professional & like factory ammo. My expectations were easily Exceeded and I will using Lonnie again with Confidence.
