Ya thats why boomers are not liked. And ive already stated what i consider value added. So its not a nebulous or changable thing. What is the value of life is as subjective and idiotically open ended to your ability to deny any that doesn’t placate your thoughts and that question is as smart as asking how many bubbles are in a bar of soap?
You want to lower the impoverished world population? Simply mandate organic farming and ban the Haber-Bosch system, you’d have that competition your worried about cut by billions in a couple of months.
If you’re willing to throw a drowning man an anchor to prevent competition to “your children” that’s your decision to make and we’ll see the world end up in your making.
I will say though, your exact remarks that boil down to…
“me, mine, me” is what separates the elderly people I knew as a kid from the elderly people of today; the Greatest generation genuinely cared about the nation they left behind for all younger than themselves; the elderly people today seem to have your mind set and only think as far as their grandchildren’s lives directly.
Example: Ross Perot in 1992 said “NAFTA is mortgaging your grand children’s futures and if passed you will hear a giant sucking sound of American jobs leaving this county.”
As if from a prophet, but no a 5’5” man with big ear from Fort Worth Texas told everyone of voting age exactly what would happen……
Because he cared about not only lives but quality of life for others.
But im not going to sacrifice or disadvantage my
Family
Friends
Country
Or people..
To help a group of people who are antagonistic to the existance of the former halfway around the world.
We created the world. And bleeding hearted boomers have tought younger generations to hate themselves in a culturally suicidal way.
And your also right but the greatest generation was forced to change their world view at gunpoint back home.
