PUNIN WINE offers an extensive selection of premium spirits from renowned producers around the world. Whether you're looking for a classic brandy or a rare collectible bottle, you'll find options suitable for every occasion and taste.
That sounds like a fantastic trip to plan. Booking that far in advance should give you a much better chance of finding an outfitter that matches your requirements, especially if you're looking for large properties and a good variety of cull animals.

Hopefully someone here has firsthand experience and can point you toward a reliable operation in the Northern Territory. Good luck with the planning, and I hope 2028 turns into another memorable safari.

Big Country Safaris- Alex Jagers. Just got back from a red neck, old school, heck of a fun time w him and his team. Very detailed, gun permits a breeze… Double Rifle heaven. Perfect Africa tune up. The cull hunt is a bit more of a shoot, than a hunt, but imagine Africa in the early years of no pressure and animals everywhere! That is NT! Great folks, Alex and BCS. I’ll be back to experience it again. Side note, try to budget a side Banteng hunt while you are there, as well.

Fenstar, Thanks for the post and helpful tips.
Yes, Big Country seems very popular and his videos are impressive. I can see how you had a great time. I was in contact with him. I ended up going with Australian Outback Buffalo Safaris.

You say, "More of a shoot than a hunt". Yes that is what it looks like to me. Well said. In my stage in my hunting life that will be good for me. I will be 82, and while I can still shoot well, I am a poor walked.
I will shoot a 50-110 Winchester, TV Encore single shot with warm loads under CEB bullets.

Two things about the NT style of hunt I am looking forward to is,
1. The price per buffalo. I booked 10 management cows. Lots of shooting. It should be a hoot.
2. Being able to be in Arnhem Land and the Aboriginal culture and a bit of Kakadu National Park,
time permitting.

I have been to South Africa about 12 times, usually with my family and have taken 19 cape buffalo. We would hunt for a week and then explore for a month or more. We loved the history, the bush, and the "African Way". It all seemed to change for me in the last. couple of trips. Maybe I am just getting grumpy in my old age. I found South Africa to have morphed into over-the-top consumerism and criminal lifestyle. It has lost it's appeal for me.

In all your times in Africa, did you ever venture out of SA?

Glad you got you Australian hunt booked up! I am sure you are looking forward to to it

Brian,

My son and I did a big cull hunt last year in the NT. We had a great time.

@Brian why are are you not taking your Handi?
I sold my .577NE Handi to a man in Arizona. I am almost 81 years old and a .577 NE is really not an old man's rifle. ( still, last year I was lucky enough to use it for 6 cape buffalo kills with 7 shots in the Eastern Kalahari. )

So, now I will use my "little gun" a TC Encore in 50-110 Winchester, which is loaded to run a CEB .410 Raptor bullet at over 2,100 fps.

@Fenstar
Bantang and buffalo are expensive hunts.
I wild scrub bull and cow hunt with a few pigs thrown in is a good value hunt.
Some of those scuba bulls make a mother in-laws temper look like a girl guide cookie sale.
That can be mean sons of bitches that will charge you just for fun and a bit of exercise.
Cheaper as well.
Bob.

@Brian
That 50-110 should knock the snot out of them.
A mate shot a couple with a 45-120 Sharps in a Sharps replica and he said that worked a treat so the fifty should be even a more good thing.
Litchfield national park just out of Darwin is another beautiful spot I would highly recommend.

I have killed cape buffalo with it using a CEB Raptor Bullet. Usually dead-right-there.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
