NAMIBIA: KHOMAS HIGHLAND HUNTING SAFARIS With Philip Hennings

Some more random photos of the Khomas Higjlands experience....

The Zebra Rug will become the centerpiece of my new retirement "Man Cave," immediately opposite, my Golden Bear rug... I plan to create a "happy place" with North American mounts on one side of the room and African mounts on the other side, and a big screen TV opposite a couple big leather recliners.
Yeah, good luck with that. I envisioned doing something similar (minus the TV) and it didn't work out quite that way. I came to realize that I can shoot as many "taxidermy-worthy" animals in 10 days of safari as in 10 years of hunting at home. Unless you concentrate solely on the "Tiny Ten" animals, Africa can take over a trophy room very, very quickly.

Some great photos by the way!

Your hunt report was a very enjoyable read and I really liked all of the photos you shared (I never take enough). Congratulations on your hunt trip! I liked the look of the terrain where you had your hunt.

Great report and looked to be a lot of good times!

Not in this case... the NA side of the room is already taken care of... Africa has some catching up to do...

Well Done! Congratulations :D Cheers:

Hendrick and I had made a bet, whether or not, if I shot a Steinbok with my .375 WSM it would "explode." Hendrick said it would, I felt the TSX would zip through so fast that it would not do that much damage (which is why I chose to load the TSX)... since this little antelope ran 30 feet after the shot, we four held a forum and agreed, that if it had "exploded," it could not have run... ergo, I won the bet. Now, as I write this, I am realizing that Hendrick never paid me the $10 we had bet... I guess I will have to go back to collect.

Well... it took a year, but Hendrick made good and paid the $10 bet... unfortunately he paid In NAD not USD... LOL.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
