Fished the Naknek and some tributaries this week. Rainbows were doing a little bit of everything. These two, almost 30” and 27 1/2” on a size 18 copper neon nymph sumthin’ or other? Some fish still colored up like these two and some bright chrome.Went 1st time this season, last Saturday, up to a favorite spot with daughter and pooch. Water condition was good but too cold from snow melt- couldn’t interest a single look.pic below
Noticed the grayling on the Naknek post/pic. Will be there in couple weeks for rainbow opener. Hope the rainbows are smolting!
