Getting ready to head to South Africa on the 9th of May. Way back in November I ordered a grade AAA english walnut stock from Richards Microfit gun stocks. Well after lots of phone calls STRESS and 18 weeks later it finally showed up. The fit was ok at best. I had to take quite a bit out of this one to get it to fit. As far as the outside it was pretty good. I dont think it is as high of a grade as it is supposed to be but the amount of time it took to get I am going to take it in the shorts and run it. Maybe that is what they were hoping? But any way here she is. It is actually a pretty nice piece of wood. Pictures dont do it justice.

It is a Ruger M77 mkII re barreled with a super match grade stainless pacnor barrel. I cerakoted it with a 50/50 mix of black and socom blue to make it all match. I am shooting 156 grain norma oryx 2868 fps at about 1/2 moa.

Excellent job on getting the barrel to match. I keep thinking that I need to order a blank or two from Richards. However, while my experience with them wasn't horrible, it wasn't as easy as expected.

Love the use of the Norma Oryx.

The 156 Norma is my go to load on my HS .275. I would urge you to have the rifle nicely checkered. To me at least, a custom rifle always has a shop project look until finished with simple classic checkering. You have done too fine a job not to put on the final touches.

Thank you. This is the 4th stock I have ordered from them. The first ones went really smooth and shipped on time or early.

Thank you. I was planning on that when we return from our trip. My gunsmith cant have it done in time.
