If you were to pick just one animal that you could hunt, outside of common PG, what would it be? This would likely be a high ticket item, to include DG and some of the more majestic and less commonly taken animals, or just difficult to hunt.

I always appreciate the reports about Bongo, Lord Derby Eland, Big 5, and Dry Land Hippo, I know there are a bunch more and that’s what I want to hear from you about.

As I've often said on this forum, I didn't know I needed a Lord Derby Eland until I started hanging around this group of miscreants.

Now I have a Top Secret Stash ready in case there's another LDE cancellation hunt that pop's up around here. ;)

See a list of the most popular animals from a first safari and I’d bet kudu would be at the top. Maybe zebra, blue wildebeest and warthog would be close to that.

Does it make it the most coveted? Not sure, but the metrics would need to be more clearly defined.

For those that have “been there and done that”, their list will be more exotic. Sable, wild black mane lion, black bull giraffe, LDE, bongo, 80+ lb bull elephant, tiny 10…etc.

For me it would be tuskless female elephant and lion/lioness.

Dwarf forest buffalo is the one animal I would most love to take that I haven't taken yet. At my age I doubt I have the mental toughness to do this hunt anymore.

I have three. If forced to pick only one it would be the lion but here are the three that are on my mind with regularity. Wild lion that is exportable and importable. I have this hunt booked for 2027. Also, a wild, free ranging roan. I have this hunt booked for 2028. Lastly would be a LDE, still looking into and researching this hunt. Hope to make it happen in the next 5 years, if it is still a possibility by then.

I think the answer to this question is very dependent upon what your level of African hunting experience is currently. Every answer above conjures up thoughts of adventure for a guy like me who is headed for his first safari experience in about 60 days. Buffalo is what I currently covet most and what I will be pursuing first. If that goal is fulfilled as hoped, Leopard and dry land Hippo will rise to the top.

My top 3 would be:

1. Elephant hunt with a reasonable chance at an 80-100+ lb. ele.
2. LDE
3. Mountain Nyala

Currently don't have any of these hunts booked and probably will only be able to afford the LDE hunt.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
