ZIMBABWE: My Most Ambitious Hunt To Date And...

Super quick update (I’ll elaborate soon).

Today was Day 1. Shot a giraffe and a zebra for bait, and put up four baits.

Quick day 2 update. Now have a total of 8 baits up. One already has two lionesses camped on it. Hopefully they call in a male tonight. Came across a dugga boy with an injured rear leg and no tail. Saw a bunch of cow and young elephants. Stalked about a hundred cape buffalo in a teak forest. Nothing we wanted.

On day one the first animal we shot for bait was a giraffe. Probably 150 yards away so I used the 1914 Holland & Holland 375 H&H.

Shot him in the heart. He ran about 25 yards, doubled back and then turned in a circle or two and fell over. It was interesting to see blood sprayed onto a tree about eye level.

I’ll keep the skull and some panels. First giraffe I’ve hunted. There are a lot of giraffe here.

Second animal shot for bait on day one was a Zebra that was in heavy cover. Also shot with the 375 through the heart. Ran about 50 yards and dropped in a nice wide open area, awfully nice of him.

Jumping the gun here, and I promise a much more in depth story but today, day 4, was lion day. The first lion ever shot by a Rigby 450 No 2 AND the biggest lion Buzz has hunted in his 30 years as a PH.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
