Beretta just bought 10 percent of Rugers stock .They are trying to take them over to control them and take over the market .Ruger is not the ssme company as when Bill Ruger was president and owner of the company .They made many classic rifles and pistols in our time .The Ruger 1 , Ruger 77 , Redlabel , Ruger Redhawk , Ruger Black hawk ruger mini 14 are all classic firearms .The ruger of today makes cheaper rifles and pistols not many classics but I dont want to see them merge and disapear .I hope if they do take them over they return to some more clasic firearms and dont make Ruger disapear .

RUGER BOUGHT MARLIN AND PUTS OUT A FINE LEVER GUN, THINKING BERETTA IS NOT GOING TO STAMP ITS NAME ON JUNK. MAYBY OUR RUGER STOCK WILL COME BACK UP.

they also own Chapuis, Uberti, Stoeger, Franchi, plus Steiner, Burris, Norma, and RWS...

as far as I can tell they havent hurt any of the brands / companies they have acquired.. and they have improved several of them..

Beretta holdings is the largest firearms manufacturer in the world, they own many brands. I’ve heard its not even their main source of revenue, supposedly they own a lot of power companies in Europe.

This stock buy happened months ago

I have had great experiences with both companies, but I usually don't like the outcome of US companies being bought out by European companies.

Stellantis, for example...

IMO, the quality of Dodge, Chrysler, RAM, and Jeep have suffered greatly.

(Although my bad experiences with Jeep predate Stellantis)

This ain't anywhere a news, but it became viral since recent childish exchange of accusation by both companies on social media platforms a couple of days ago. Ridiculous.

As you said, Ruger is not doing well these days and I don't see a problem if bought by owners having the capacity to spend money and invest or share technology they already developed on other companies. See the revival of Marlin in recent years for instance. See also what Beretta did by sharing Benelli Inertia System with Franchi and Stoeger.

As somebody else said, Beretta owns many firearms brands and this is what's happening just about anywhere. Look at CZ, they bought Colt. They also own a majority share in Fiocchi Munizioni.

This is the future: if not part of a large holding, you'll see disappear a lot of minor brands (just like it already happened all throughout history... because market is a regardless bitch not interested in what a company achieved in the past).

That's correct. Not just for Beretta actually, but generally civilian market is a very small percentage of income for any firearm manufacturer. It's with the military supplies they make big money. That's also another reason why most micro-brands making bespoke luxury hunting weapons are struggling to survive and have to charge an absurd amount of money for each of their guns. If I am not mistaking Verney-Carron failed a couple of years ago. Maybe at Holland & Holland would have happened the same if not bought by Beretta.

This is yet another tale, anyway I believe you are confusing things: Stellantis is disappointing overall, and it wasn't really involved in the acquisition and management of Chrysler and related brands until recently.

As far as I can tell, Fiat bought Chrysler and made a great deal, at least for people living in EU. Jeep experienced success never had before in the Old Continent. I too own a Jeep Renegade (not CJ unfortunately, the lame front wheel driven SUV) that I paid few, burns even less fuel, it's a great diesel engine, it's comfortable and has enough space to bring people and gundogs around. Back then Marchionne was the CEO and he had a great vision. Also re-launched Alfa Romeo with the 4C, Giulia and Stelvio.

Stellantis is a new company born after Marchionne died in 2018, the nephew of Agnelli (owners of Fiat) took the place as CEO and Fiat joint ventured Pegeout. This joint venture looks more like a sale to the french but anyway this is when the problems started for any of the owned brands (which seems to be sold or killed, by the way). Ferrari is lucky to have been in a separate group of its own, Iveco was lucky to be sold to indians in the terms that at least it will keeps surviving as a supplier of military vehicles. Personally I think Stellantis is more interested into making banking activity than making cars, and they have just started to realize

Ruger went from making claasic guns to ones that are low quality the Ruger american was not good accurate but bolted terrible and was made for walmart .The Ruger hawkeye which is good is made in limited numbers .The Ruger 1 is hardly made either .The mini 14 and 1022 are still good but who does not have one .I have a bunch of ruger rifles but dont see any new ones I even want to buy .I hope if they take it over they bring back the classics .

My experience with Ruger and their customer service has always been top notch. I cannot say the same about Beretta… I’m still pissed about my xtrema shotgun and the sticky stock scandal!
I assume that was something to do with Dura-touch finish? I had a half a dozen browning with that finish go bad. There was a class action on that and they refinish them for free. Had some buddies get theirs done within the last 6 months. I wonder if Beretta was part of that?

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
