You are wrong. It is actually quite straightforward to import a legally hunted rhino. Easier than elephant or lion. In fact mine was easier than leopard from Tanzania. He wears replica horns as the real ones are locked away. The horn is cool and all, but it is a pia, thuse I recommend saving the cost and hunting a dehorned rhino. Then have a replica made of what the real would look like had it not been cut. The horn is a pain to own. But not difficult to import once it is all documented and microchipped.

Ok, a full body mount of a rhino is incredible. Outstanding!

I have also been thinking about what I would do with such a trophy. I don't like shoulder mounts in general and I definitely don't want a Rhino horn at home. I don't want to have to deal with some criminal gang who might get wind of it. I would only take the skull as a souvenir. Therefore, if I would hunt a Rhino, I would only shoot a dehorned rhino.
Here's my 1/2 body and the skull. Horns on both the mount and skull are replicas, the real horns are locked away off property. The export/import paperwork took only a few months.

That's right, I would be interested for somewhat too, but I can imagine the problems with importing rhino leather into the EU. The craftsman you need to process this leather will also be somewhat hesitant due to various legal issues surrounding the processing of products from protected animals.
great craftsmen in south africa, i personally have belts, a brief case, gun bag etc from rhino leather

We still have some magnificent bulls of all sizes available for 2026 guys! We strongly believe this is a hunt that will be under serious pressure in years to come. There is no time like the present to make your dreams a reality!

This once in a lifetime bull is still available in 2026!
