We won’t be that lucky, my understanding is his district will be Shelia Jackson lee’s old district?
The new map redrew his constituents in the 9th District into other areas, including the 18th Congressional District, which was previously held by the late Sheila Jackson Lee.

Trade one idiot for a new idiot, that district is pretty much a danger zone in Houston

I remember when we were told energy would be too cheap to meter in the future. These computer networks capable of self-learning may evolve on their own in ways we cannot even begin to predict accurately. What happens if the autonomous systems determine humans are a problem that need to be removed from the planet? An autonomous computer system without a human conscience is the ultimate sociopath.

I had on Will Cain while Iate lunch, and he had a panel of Texans, asking them about the speech last night. At the end he asked who they would vote for, for Cornyn's seat. It was split between Paxton and Telerico. One actually said Crockett. No one said Cornyn.
 
I imagine Trump has had some serious discussions with whomever recommended he appoint Coney Barrett for SCOTUS. Watch her demeanor closely, usually all “smiles and apple pie” for camera and video. She however shows her true nature when she thinks she’s off camera… but isn’t. What a piece of work

Trump made many sketchy picks during his 1st term, for his cabinet as well.
He must have been getting advice from a deep stater or 3.
I'm sure he has buyers remorse over Barrett.

She has been thoughtful and supportive on most truly conservative issues. According to Google and Grok she has supported the conservative majority.92% of the time. I am pretty sure that is 100% better than any democrat President’s nominee. She is generally considered center right rather than a MAGA partisan which suits me perfectly. I am somewhat mystified what you are able to identify about her character from brief video clip. Enlighten us how you do that.
 
Personally, I feel that Trump shouldn't be provoking SCOTUS by criticizing them in public or during the SOTU.
SCOTUS will occasionally make rulings that we don't agree with. Hopefully, future decisions will not be swayed or biased based on Trumps hostility towards decisions that don't go his way.

Agree with you.

The problem Trump was facing a massive time crunch. RBG died in September and they wanted a confirmation prior to the election. Replacement had to be a woman with no baggage to draw the confirmation out. ACB was confirmed in a month. A couple weeks before the election.

While ACB is not the optimal pick she is much better than Biden getting to replace RBG with a clone of KBJ.

After rereading what I just wrote, why do they all have double last names. So confusing. :unsure:
 
SO Im going to jump in here . AND say I just saw where some CUBAN "FEDERALES" FIRED on a boat killing 4 us citizens, has anyone got anything on this. apparently was just offshore from cuba.

Not bad. Really like the structural columns and the view. Looks similar to the Lana in Dubai.

I am in the process of restoring / updating a ranch house, going the opposite direction and rustic. I want something that can naturally weather inside and out and not be worried about using it or scratching something. I have made some of the furniture and my have Julian and Sons build the cabinets. Part of my warehouse is full of old growth rough sawed timber.

We did however recently purchase a 51 unit property that will be getting the modern design treatment. That seams to be the trend.

What I read, is that Cuba claims when the American boat was approached by Cuban authorities, they opened fire on the Cubans.
I don't know the truth to any of it. An American politician is already calling it murder.?

I like old barns and some of the old ranch headquarters houses, have you considered using some of your rough sawn , and scorch burning it, gives it a weather and fire survived look, with a torch its easy to do.

Since the President made a record breaking speech for length, surely no one will think of him as mentally diminished. He stayed right on point.
Now, if he would just follow up, end corruption and jail perps--THAT is what will please and motivate the base!

Here is a vanity that I made. Sycamore one piece solid top that my grandfather sawed in the 1950s. Walnut base that my great grandfather sawed in the 1940s. StrongBarn tin from the 1960s. Sears Homart cast iron sink from 1958.

Notice the circular saw marks from my grandfather’s sawmill, he was running a top saw as well. About a 30 inch wide top.

AOC has lost it. Not a good thing because I was hoping she’d be on the ‘28 ticket. Her recent selfie video seemed like she had been drinking or hitting drugs. I also notice a trait she’s developed from watching and practicing with BHO videos. It’s obvious that Hakeem and Kamala try to imitate BHO speaking traits. Now AOC has picked up on it. BHO pronounces the word sure like it is spelled shore. Just noticed AOC has started to pronounce the word sure like it is spelled shore. Looking forward… could the ticket be Newsom-Bootygig?
